Kafue National Park is home to over 55 different species of mammals. Here are some of the iconic residents you might encounter during your stay at Mubuyu Bush Camp.
The park is famous for its healthy populations of Lion and Leopard. While Cheetahs are more elusive, the vast plains of the Kafue offer one of the best chances in Zambia to spot them.
Kafue is renowned for its diversity of antelope. Look out for the magnificent Sable Antelope (our namesake), the aquatic Sitatunga, and huge herds of Red Lechwe and Puku.
The Kafue River is the lifeblood of our camp. During a boat safari, you'll see countless Hippos and Crocodiles, as well as elephants crossing the water at sunset.
