Best Time to Visit Kafue National Park

The Green Season (April - May)

The bush is lush and vibrant following the rains. It's a photographer's paradise with clear skies, dramatic sunsets, and newborn wildlife. The river is full, making for excellent boating safaris.

Peak Winter (June - August)

Cooler temperatures and drying bush make for comfortable game drives and walking safaris. Wildlife begins to congregate around the river, offering consistent sightings of elephants and hippos.

Heat of the Season (Sept - Nov)

As the plains dry out, predator action heats up. This is the best time for dramatic wildlife encounters as animals flock to the remaining water sources. Ideal for fishing enthusiasts.
